SotoIP is a Strategic Intellectual Property Advisory and Patent Prosecution firm specializing in serving startup and emerging growth companies as well as investor groups throughout the United States. In addition, we support international startups entering the U.S. National Stage.
We bring a tremendous depth of experience to assisting our clients with their IP needs. Prior to entering private practice, Founding Patent Attorney, John Sotomayor was in-house Patent Counsel for high-tech startups, is a former Patent Examiner with the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office, and spent the first half of his career working as an Electrical Engineer in the energy, telecommunications, software and intelligence sectors.
